I, Slacker

The story of one man's brave journey from being a globetrotting internet professional to becoming a full-time slacker. It's about exchanging money for time, rediscover forgotten pleasures and enjoy the small (cubans & sportcars) and the bigger (the missus) things in life.

It's Time For A Change

The Missus and I agree: it's time for a change. We have now lived in San Francisco for 3 years and in Denver, London, Stockholm, Greencastle, Madrid, Savannah, Barcelona and LA before that. Life is just too short not to explore the world.

The idea is to visit a few new cities within the next weeks to find where we should spend the next couple of years. We are now planning a trip to Buenos Aires but are also eying Melbourne, Hong Kong and Cape Town for our future life. One thing is clear - it has to be a new continent, some place outside of North America and Europe.

If everything goes as planned we should be packed up and ready to move by June 1st this year. I know, it doesn't give us much time but when your mind is set on something it's all about execution.

Perspective is invaluable! Had I read this casually on the posting date, I might have gone into panic mode. Fortunately, I, unlike "slacker", have a life and was trolling rock piles in another city when this appeared. So, proded by your fan club to read, I was naturally looking for a zinger--and found it. This sounds great as long as you have a Mother-in-Law wing.
