I, Slacker

The story of one man's brave journey from being a globetrotting internet professional to becoming a full-time slacker. It's about exchanging money for time, rediscover forgotten pleasures and enjoy the small (cubans & sportcars) and the bigger (the missus) things in life.

The Ultimate Accomplishment

An iSlacker is a person who takes time off to reflect, think and reinvent. It's a person who feels comfortable with taking a step back to make the leap of their dreams. Someone that is ready to sacrifice being king of the hill to find their inner peak.

Life needs direction, mission and purpose to go from being less ordinary to extraordinary. It needs passion and energy to survive and thrive. It needs confidence and conviction to blossom. Life is what makes life intersting. Everything else is just props to booster our egos and flaunt our mojos.

Taking time to find life as it was meant to be is the real challenge. Finding it is the ultimate accomplishment.

The Comfort Of A Daily Routine

I've entered the second phase of my leisure trimester and slacking has now become my daily routine. I've gone from sleeping in and watching movies to a very busy schedule filled with doing errands, reading, studying, thinking and cooking. It fills your day - easily.

The ironi is that I'm back doing what I do for a living: analyzing emerging markets and business opportunities. Well, mixed with watching TV / movies and doing the occasional hussle which I don't get the opportunity to do at the office.

This time-off is like a rubber band; I get to stretch it further than usual to get enough far away to realize that my life is great. I call it my rubber band theory. It also include a number of other more subtle realizations and insights. But that's for another blog.
